JODHA and AKBAR

Once upon a time very long ago
Hindustan,the land was called
Ruled by the powerful MUGHALS
known by one and all!

The most powerful among them
Akbar was his name
Far reaching his empire,
his power and fame!

Akbar had everything
everything but love
Love would be a blessing to him
a blessing from above!

In a kingdom not far from his,
Amber, a RAJPUT city
The princess of this realm,
known for her beauty!

Her name, Jodha Bai
a warrior was she!
Not only beautiful
but a sight to see!

Asking for her hand,
his position to be secure
King Akbar reaching Amber
to win her for sure!

Amber became an ally
and Jodha, his wife
The Rajputs and Jodha
now parts of his life!

The Rajputs,a warrior clan
became his sword and shield
Ready at his every call,
for him to weild!

Purely political an
alliance had been made
Jodha despised him and
away from him she stayed!

But fate had other plans
right from the start
They would be together
and so would their hearts!

Akbar was a Muslim,
and Jodha was a Hindu
But religion could not
separate the fate of these Two!

Akbar accepted her and 
 never asked her to change
Neither faith nor herself
a King indeed strange!

Wooing her with all his heart
a Bond was sealed
Hindu-Muslims lived together
and tensions soon healed!

But love as yet was not found
but friends they had become
Jodha and Akbar were getting
closer to the horror of some!

Jealous wives of Akbar and
 neighbouring kings were there
Who plotted and prayed against
the birth of the Heir!

But love had finally blossomed
and Jodha his leading Queen
Jodha and Akbar were together
and their love finally seen!

Jodha gave  
an heir to the realm
And a son to Akbar
who was overwhelmed!

Celebrations and festivities
were up in the air
The prince had come
their future,the heir!

Salim he was named
and next in line
To the throne of the Mughals
both strong and fine!

Jodha was always by
Akbar's side
Helping him rule
his empire wide!

A golden age was over when
 Akbar passed away
In a beautiful mausoleum
his legend lives even today!

Jodha joined him years
later just as in their life
In death they were kept together
both husband and wife!
 
Immortal is their tale and
immortal is their love
'JODHA AND AKBAR'
were fated from Above!


(Jodha Bai in records is known as Marium-uz-Zammani,a title which meant 'Mary of the Age' (guess why)and in reality was known as Harkha Bai or Hira Bai,but their love was true!)

 













 

THANKS DAD!

My dad always planted seeds
his garden so full of them
But nothing came out of it
no leaves, roots or stems!

But he would still try
tending to his 'garden'
And after doing so would
do his other chores then!

My dad was a big man
and very well respected
But working in his 'garden'
tirelessly was daily 'fated'!

In a place where anything
had refused to grow
People would ask him
what was there to reap and sow!

This question even i asked
but he would continue to sow
All he ever said was that,
"One day you will know"!

One day in our garden
someone finally showed
A tiny sapling was sprouting
and soon others followed!

While others marvelled
at the beauty of our garden
Their lands and backyards
coninued to remain barren!

Soon years passed by
and we had many trees
I had a daughter by now
who refused to be pleased!

No games had remained
to be played outdoors
Only high buildings
roads and superstores!

But soon i had a swing
 fixed on one of the trees
Swinging, my daughter on
 She laughed out in glee!

My dad tended to the garden
as he always had
And all i could say to him was
"THANKS DAD"!






 

I will see!

Invisible to the naked eye,light
but its colours always seen
Giving meaning to sight
as it has always been!

Blindness is not illness
it is another way to see
A way through darkness
never meant to be!

For I am blind, as called
can see what you cannot
I see through my mind
and heart,a gift that i have got!

I do not want pity
for I am no different
I can do things,
things for you meant!

I am your equal and
 i may not have 'sight'
But can you see in the pitch
dark at a time called 'night'?

I am just going through a 'night'
and soon 'Day' it will be
My time will come
and soon 'I WILL SEE'!








 

The Spirit of the Desert!

Shining high up in the sky
beating down on the sands
A golden sun is what lives
amongst the desert lands!

The winds keep blowing on
turning surfaces to dunes
These dunes are never still
dancing to the wind's tunes!

The golden sands are
constant only in change
From a burn to a terrible
chill ,weathers can range!

Riding the camel
as a desert ship
For it can survive the desert
and its deadly grip!

Life in the desert is
a battle of death and life
A battle for survival
in constant strife!

 The desert tricks and
shows mirage like oases
Giving us false hope
in times of crisis!

Testing our every step
without any respite
With only an oasis
as a ray of light!

For water,our elixir
is extremely rare
Without this crossing the
desert none would dare!

But every sinle spirit
from oasis to a speck of dirt
is a part of something larger,
The Spirit of The Desert!

The curse of the Blue Diamond

Sparkling and shining in the light
Indeed a very beholding sight
Dearer than silver and gold
The legend, bloody and very old!

Greed ruled the hearts of men
for this was the Devil make
Wars were fought and
lost for this rocks sake!

Passed through the hands
 filled with greed and hate
With deceit in their hearts
towards their bloody fate!

The gem was a fortune
equal to that of a king
Its beauty and splendour
 indeed a cursed thing!

But whoever possessed it
was possessed by ill luck
For without warning an
untimely death always struck!

She was as capricious
as if she were alive
For towards their doom
 she would always drive!

But she was lost in history
with the damned who had sinned
Drowned by greed and lust in
the curse of the BLUE DIAMOND!

Oh!Henry.

Henry was obsessed with the year 2012.Being a doomsday theorist was what he loved being and came up with the most entertaining and ridiculous theories on how the world would end!
But one theory always stood out that of the year 2012.Henry would say that the whole world would come to an end in the month of December , when the Earth's fiery core would burst open spewing out lava,magma and ash ending life on Earth!But all his friends would exclaim was,"Oh!Henry".And so as 2012 had come with the month of December approaching Henry began stockpiling on supplies and other things to survive the END!
When the month of December approached the world was preparing foe Christmas and New Year 2013.But Henry was making plans on how to survive the world's end!He had made the most unrealistic plans,emptied his Bank accounts and had even had the  underground wine cellar of a rich relative arranged for storing his supplies!But things were going to get crazier!
On December 27, Henry got en e-mail and a text message from an unknown source telling him that the world was to end on December 25 , 23 50 A!Henry was shocked! he knew that the world was to end!But just 3 days were left!But Henry had been prepared for thr worst!Having seen the movie 2012 about a hundred times he had formed a general idea of how to survive the apocalypse!
But first he would have to convince his unbelieving friends that the End was for real.So he invited them for a New Year party to atleast get them together to save their lives!
But what was 20 50A!Then it stuck Henry that it was the time when the  destruction would take place i.e. at 11:50PM!The new problem was how would he convince them to come under his magnificent protection!He knew that it was up to him to save their lives for then he could ensure that atleat a microscopic fraction of mankind survived!But what would he explain to them when they realised he did not have the necessary things for a party.Well,they would realise this was not a party but an awesome effort of his to save them from the destruction of the world!
So when December 31 came Henry began going through his survival plans and inwardly smiled as to how his friends would honour him even so far as to dreaming himself as the new leader of the leftover human race!At around 8 PM all his friends started coming in one by one into the mansion of Henry's relative who had gone on his annual Europe tour at this time of the year!
Henry's plan was to make his friends wait till  11PM and then take them to the cellar.
But unluckily for him suddenly from the cellar loud music started playing and all the friends started heading there to find an exquistely beautiful wine cellar big enough to accomodate all of them with the finest wine and full of supplies including stuff for parties!Henry had totally forgotten that he had arranged for neccessaries as well as basic luxuries so that once in a while in the resource starved future he could enjoy himself for a few days!
But now music and food brought the fake party into reality and wine and champagne flowed down into the guests bodies leaving Henry shocked and his guests partying!But what was more amazing for Henry was that he was downning vodka like water and dancing to latest pop,rock and hip hop songs playing!But as 11:50 PM approached Henry finally began worrying about how they would last without supplies and whether they even had chances of survival!
The twist to this was that 11:50 had passed and when it struck 12AM the whole world including the guests shouted and sreamed in unison'HAPPY NEW YEAR'!!!!
Henry could not believe his ears when later his friends told him that it was them who had sent him the text message and e-mail and that the relative of his was also a part of the plan!
Henry asked them then that what was the meaning of it.They answered that maybe if Henry was right,then they would not get to see  April 1st 2013 so why not celebrate April Fool's Day then and there,leaving Henry exclaiming to himself 'OH!HENRY'!!!!!!!!

The future- an amazing age!

The year is 2114.Everything in our world has become virtual and digital. We are progressing so fast with technology that everyday something new keeps coming out. We do not have a tough time keeping up because we are not human anymore! Thanks to genetic engineering, we have evolved into stronger, smarter and far more superior beings to what you people could ever be! Our environment due to global warming has changed but we have conquered that too!
But the price to reach this amazing age has been too expensive! Our numbers which were once in billions has now fallen to within 10 million! We have lost our humanity and have mutated into beings with no heart! Now we only keep to ourselves, drowning in ourselves! We have none of your fauna out in the wild because we engineer them in captivity. They are designed and bred, all for the sake of being entertainment to us! But they aren't interesting anymore, so we turn to our IGNs.(oh by the way IGN is Inter Galactic Network and the other one is Intra Galactic Network!) 

We travel to other planets for vacations and even picnics. And we aren't alone in the Universe anymore. And yet, we have never been more lonely!
Our means of travel on Earth is of course teleportation with Teleports situated almost everywhere! Oh but to travel beyond the stars, we do that in starships with HYPERSPACE JUMPS to lessen the traveling time! Wormholes do exist and we can strategically locate them with ease now! Space on Earth is not avilable anymore for waste disposal but we found new dumping grounds and waste disposal methods! There are still some human characteristics within us. Space and other planets are our new dumping grounds or we can just vaporise them with ULTRD(Ultra Laser Treatment for Ready Disposal) which is just a big laser shot for waste disposal but since we feel it is expensive, we prefer the first method! Thus we are not 'global' anymore but 'Universal'!
The money that we pay now is on the IGN like the bitcoins of your time! But we have no Government or Authority controlling it! Instead a huge BUSINESS EMPIRE and CONGLOMERATE called SATANHELL CORPORATION controls not only this intergalactic currency on our planet but also the Government, the things we consume and produce and thus us! Talk about MONOPOLY! This corporation is so huge that it has its influence on other planets also! They produce, we consume. They employ,we are employed! And they pollute and we abet them in that! This currency called SPACECENT is what helps them control us because when they gained control of it, it was the only means of trade between us and those in outerspace and thus our only way to satisfy our greed! 

We are all greedy and this has caused this bewildering age to come by! 

As the storyteller, I hope your future isn't as lonely and terrible as ours!
