For the angel that she is!

Once there was a man
Luring girls as he went
Giving them false promises
assuming himself God sent

Charming and deceitful in mind
Greek God in build
Innocent girls would flock around
him completely awe-filled

He would hang around at bars
getting the giggles and looks
Knowing how to entrap them
he knew by the book

And once he had them
he knew he was bored
For the chase was over untill
the next one he scored

But one day he met his match
in a girl that he saw
With bated breath he witnessed
as his heart filled with awe

For how exquisite she was
with her beautiful dark hair
Cascading and framing her lovely face
for others to stand and stare

Her bright eyes shone
like those of a doe
Darting around, searching the place

high and low

He moved onto her and asked,
"Searching for ME?

Cause you are the most beautiful thing

these eyes of mine have seen"

She looked up and saw
the hulk of a man
A smile on her face
and trouble began

"A cheesy line to say,
is that your pick up line
For your looks suggest you
seem mighty damn fine

He knew he had her
and played on
Flirting outrageously
with all shame gone

But always a step ahead
she never gave in
Only bettering the chase
with a nice seductive grin

And then without warning
 she left the bar
Shocked, he followed her

 for she couldn't be far!

But she was gone 

he was left high and dry

"Just when things got interesting,"

he let out a sigh

Thinking hard all week long
desperately praying to meet
The girl who had stormed his life

and swept him of his feet

Lord Cupid had found a victim
and he chose to strike
The player had been played

by a girl he had begun to like

They did meet months later

as fate played out again
He knew that he wanted her
she had driven him insane!

He moved onto her and flashed
his charming smile
A crooked grin spread on her face

after a momentary while

Never one to hesitate
he moved in for the kill
He proposed to her with all
his charm while time stood still

Astounded, she retorted,
"I do not know who you are,
I have never seen you in my life
and you have taken it too far"

His world came crashing down
a wound he had to take
Dumbstruck seeing her face,
as he faced his first heart break

The bartender saw the man
and the broken ego of his
"You rushed in straight to her
